About us

Western Battery Company was founded by Kevin and Rita Collier in 1970, who commenced operation from their home in Edward Street, Orange, building their own batteries. The business moved from there to our current premises in November 1978, and soon after they moved into battery and oil distribution. The Colliers philosophy of 'quality, service and price' ensured steady growth, and in 1999, Kevin and Rita retired from the business, making way for Steve and Merril Turner. Steve's background was in commercial radio, and Merril's was in hospitality... however, the quality, service and price philosophy remains, and today the business enjoys a first class reputation in Orange.
